Toyota Production System (TPS)

A management and manufacturing concept with a target of high efficiency, the highest product quality, and on-time delivery. The key principles are jidoka and just-in-time, along with avoidance of any kind of waste (mudi, mura, muri) in the processes and standardized work. It is the main origin of the lean manufacturing approach.
